Biosafety Cabinets
Laminar Airflow Cabinets are mainly used in medical, pharmaceutical, bio-tech research laboratories and other industries which require non-contaminated, uniform and clean air flow working zone. Essco offers the following Laminar Air Flow options:
Horizontal Laminar Airflow Cabinets
Laminar flow principle involves double filtration of air through coarse pre-filters (up to 5 microns) and Heat filter (down to 0.3 microns) for filtration of biological and particulate contaminants. A constant uni-directional air flow is drawn from atmosphere and passed through pre and heat filters on the work surface. Fabricated out of reinforced ply board which is clab in from out side in laminated sheet and inner exposed areas are finished in epoxy paint. Table top covered with non-glaring laminated sheet or stainless steel sheet (optional). Side panels are fixed and are made out of transparent acrylic sheet. The front door is folding type and made of thick acrylic sheet. (Optional) Stand is built in type or detachable. Blower unit has AU or equivalent motor and is dynamically balanced with minimal sound & vibration level. Fluorescent lighting is also provided. A suitable UV tube is provided for sterilization. An acrylic block type manometer to measure static pressure in the chamber has been installed. Two way gas tap for gas line has also been provided. Available chamber sizes in mm:
a) 600x600x600 mm
b) 900x600x600 mm
c) 1200x600x600 mm
d) 1800x600x600 mm
Verticle Laminar Airflow Cabinets
Same as above but in Verticle Module
Ceiling Laminar Airflow
Also known as OT-LAF or CLAF and are mainly used in Operation Theaters, Pharma Filling Stations or Packing Lines.
Provides ultra clean sterile HEPA filtered CLASS 100 air. Stainless steel construction equipped with MINIPLEAT HEPA and dynamically balanced ultra-low noise blowers for optimum airflow. Differential pressure monitoring done through MAGNEHELIC gauges. Customization available for site specific need.
Fuming Hood (Class I Biosaftly Cabinet)
Fume exhaust hoods are designed to contain and exhaust toxic, obnoxious or otherwise harmful gases,
vapours, mist etc. to protect personal and equipment. A motor driven blower creates negative pressure
within the chamber extracting the contaminated air from work area and expel it into the atmosphere.
The hood is ventilated to the air drawn for inside the Laboratory which is used effectively for
thorough sweep-out of work chamber.
Fabricated out of best quality, thick weather-resistant Duro-board clad in mica Lamination from outside,
inner chamber finished in chemically resistant Epoxy paint. Work surface is made of steel. An up and down
sliding Sash mad of thick seasoned Teak-wood and mounted with heavy glass is duly polished. Fluorescent
tubes or economical compact fluorescent light (CFL) with built-in Magnetic ballast are fitted for lighting
the work area. A gas tap and a electric plug is also provided. A working tray made of asbestos or Stainless
Steel is also supplied with the Equipment. A work bench/Table (optional) to install the equipment any where
in the lab. Can be supplied. The work bench is fabricated out of square steel pipe or hard wood and has a
cupboard and a drawer. It is nicely painted. Optional:
(i) Exhaust ducting dia 3" 4" 5" rates per running it.
(i) Ereon charges : negotiable
(iii) CFL-11W/220V, light 75W life-10,000 burning hrs. with magnetic ballast extra.
Also available in Class II and III Specifications.
