Comprises of two brass cylinders of different diameter fitted with pistons and connected by a brass tube. Mounted on polished wooden base.

Glass manometer with built-in stopcock mounted on a back plate. Scale 80-0-80 with 2 mm subdivisions. Back plate dimensions 40 x 8 cm.

To show that the pressure of liquids varies with depth and not the shape of the vessel of 4 different shapes mounted in leak proof metallic collars mounted on wooden base.

For demonstrating the principle that the pressure increased with depth. Made of stout tin sheet having three orifices of the same size but at different heights down one side. Size of cylinder 400 x 68 mm (height x dia.)

It consists of a heavy mild steel frame mounted on a heavy trileg cast iron base. Upper end of the rod 900 mm length and 5 mm dia under test is clamped by a 3-jaw chuck and the lower end is clamped, into the axis of a torsion couple three metal circular scales graduated in single degrees which are free to slide on one of the graduated rod can be clamped at any position. Three pointers for clamping to the test rod are provided. Strings to apply the deflecting couple and having pans at their free and pass over bearing pulleys which are clamped to the uprights without weights.

Approximately 275 mm length with cast metal bridge mounted on tripod stand adjustable for height & having a levelling knurled head screw fitted on one foot. The bridge has raised end pieces to which are screwed small metal blocks securing either end of a plated steel torsion wire. One block disc slotted to facilitate adjustment for torsion of the wire by means of screw passing through the end piece. At the centre of the wire, a small clamp is fitted carrying a light weight metal pointer with an adjustable counterpoise. From a notch near the tip of the pointer is suspended a small weight pan with a hook fitted to its underside, to hold either wire frame 80 x 25 mm or a metal clip carrying a glass microscope slide 75 x 25 x 1.5 mm. The tip of the pointer moves over a graduated vertical scale complete with set of weights 1 mgm to 1 gm. Also available SURFACE TENSION APPARATUS (JAEGER).

Consists of a mirror scale 12 cm long and support, a spring, a weight holder and slotted weights of 250 gm capacity.

This apparatus consists of a solenoid (for prompt release of the sphere on being disconnected) and gate switch unit mounted on a base, which is clamped on a 12 mm dia. retort stand rod. Connections are made through 4 mm sockets. The gate switch unit consists of a hinged metal plate held against an adjustable contact by means of small permanent magnet so that by proper adjustment, the plate falls promptly at the impact of the falling sphere. Centisecond timer can be used with this apparatus.

Angular section aluminum alloy track, length 255 cm, with staggered air holes, supported on two light alloy castings positioned 45 cm from each end of the track. One support has a two-point contact and other one-point contact for lateral and horizontal adjustments for which a knurled screw is provided. Large catapult arms with slots for elastic bands are fitted to each end of the track. A pulley fitted to one end of the track enables experiments involving acceleration under a constant force to be investigated. Identical end caps enable air to be introduced from either end of the track, bung being supplied to close the end not being used. The vehicles buffer attachments and clamping screws are matt black to help interpretation of stroboscopic photographs.

About 20 cm in dia. by 44 mm wide turned and carefully balance, mounted on a horizontal shaft held in ball bearings. The wheel is marked and pointer is fixed to the bracket. The bracket has four holes and can be fixed to the wall as well.

This machine has brass pipe upright 240cms (8 ft.) long graduated incms. Metal fittings and arrangement for exact adjustment, vertical and horizontal. No dropping platform. Electric release weights start falling instantly circuit is broken. Wheel of aluminium 10cms. Diameter is carefully adjusted and balanced on steel agate bearing; platform with sliding weights and over weights.

A glass bulb of 50mm diameter is designed to be attached to three sides of thermometer which is mounted on a wooden frame.

A Spring with zero adjustment mounted on a scale of 0-500 g x 100 g, spring extends 20 mm / 100 g. Supplied with scale pan diameter 75 mm.

To demonstrate floating, suspension, & sinking in accordance with Archimedes’s principle. Made of glass & approx. 35 mm long.

To be used as differential manometer, pressure gauge & vacuum gauge; closed tube fitted with mercury with stop cock & sliding mirror scale graduated 200 - 0 - 200 x 2 mm on wooden stand.

All brass N.P. For experiments on rigidity. It consists of a hollow brass tube graduated with scale divided in mms and with vernier to read 0.05mm. 40 cms. Long, 18 mm dia fitted with a small chuck and carrying a mirror, 2 solid cylinders and 2 hollow cylinders all 10 cms long accurately fitted in the bore of the tube and ceiling attachment with chuck.

Convenient for determination of relative surface tensions, or after calibration with a liquid of known surface tension for determination of that of an unknown.
