KINETIC THEORY MODEL 1183
To understand and study motion and behavior of molecules in gases. An electric motor, running at 4 to 12V D.C. vibrates a small platform inside a transparent tube so that a set of many small stainless steel ball is vibrated violently inside the tube. An increase in the violence of vibration simulates an increase in gas temperature and an increase in the weight of the 'float' simulates an increase in gas pressure. Supplied with balls and 2 'floats'.

HARE’S APPARATUS 1184
A three limbed glass tube mounted on polished wooden stand with scale in cm & mm column height adjustable by means of sliding stand. Complete with rubber tube and pinch cock.

BRAMAH HYDRAULIC PRESS 1185
All glass working model with visible coloured valves, overall height x width 225 x 120mm, mounted on wooden stand with plastic trough.

LIFT PUMP/WATER PUMP 1186
All glass working model. Overall height approx. 350mm mounted on wooden stand with metal trough.

FORCE PUMP 1187
All glass working model overall height approx 350mm. Mounted on wooden stand with metal trough.

SPOUTING CYLINDER 1188
To demonstrate that pressure increase with depth. Made of metal sheet 48 x 10cm ht x dia with three orifices of same diameter with rubber cork and glass tube in each orifice.

COMMUNICATING VESSEL 1189
Made of glass with four limbs of different types and shapes vertically above a horizontal communicating tube mounted on a Bakelite stand.

DEMONSTRATION ANEROID BAROMETER 1190
100m dia dial with movement encased in a transparent acrylic case gives full inside view of instrument. Allows action to be demonstrated when pressure is applied with the help of a rubber bellow. Same as Cat. No. 3170 (Meteorology Section)

MAGDEBURG HEMISPHERES 1191
For demonstration of the pressure exerted by the atmosphere. Made of chromium plated brass with stop cock and rubber gasket. Diameter 75mm. Also available in aluminium.

MAGDEBURG HEMISPHERES ON (on Stand)1192
To demonstrate the pressure exerted by the atmosphere. Two brass alloy hemispheres of outer diameter 110mm (approximately) at the Flange. When in use, the hemispheres are placed together and the enclosed air evacuated. Hemispheres are fitted on a suitable cast iron Base. Connection to a suitable vacuum pump is made via the stop cock tube on the base.

AIR PUMP (HAND VACUUM PUMP) 1193
Single action pump made of Al/Brass with oiled silk valve, cylinder 20 x 3.2cm dia, connected to a metal plate through a stopcock fitted on a wooden polished base.
Plate Dia. : 150mm, 200mm, 250mm

HYDRAULIC PRESS 1194
Comprising two heavy-walled glass cylinders 40mm and 15mm i.d. respectively, both fitted with non-return valves and synthetic material pistons; pump worked by hand lever 315mm long, ratio about 2:1, safety valve provided in the larger piston so that pressure in excess of that which can safely be applied to the glass cylinder enables the water to rise above the piston and escape through the overflow pipe at the top; stopcock at base of small cylinder for replenishing cylinders with water by rubber tubing from beaker of water. Removable loading platform, wedges for breaking metal bars. Strongly constructed and mounted on baseboard 290x190mm. The above list does not include the entire range of instruments available, please feel free to request other items throughout this field.

FORCE TABLE 1195
To verify the law of composition and resolution of forces. This consists of machined aluminum table 40cm in dia. Its raised rim has a engine divided scale, graduated in 360º, mounted on heavy vertical rod and tripod based with leveling screws. Body under study is a ring in center of the table fastened by cords passing over four pulleys, attached with the table. Complete with four pulleys, four wts hangers twelve wts (2 x 10 gm, 2x20gm, 4x50gm, 4x100gm). Also available Vector Force Table or Apparatus.

FORCE BOARD (Parallelogram of forces)1196
This kit is very useful for teaching basic principles of mechanics. A number of assemblies can be built with this equipment to demonstrate and perform a number of experiments in dynamics, statics and general properties of matter. A compact self supporting frame acts as a basic support for th different assemblies and the whole apparatus can be assembled and disassembled quickly and easily.

SOLID MATERIAL KIT 1197
Consists of two each of the seventeen blocks in following sizes:
50 x 40 x 30 mm - softwood, hardwood, paraffin wax, aluminium, iron & Polystyrene
20 x 20 x 100 mm - Perspex, glass, slate, aluminium, softwood, marble
lead 50 x 50 x 20 mm, aluminium 50 x 50 x 80 mm, hardwood 50 x 50 x 200 mm, brass 20 x 20 x 50 mm, iron 40 x 40 x 20 mm.
