Comprises two metal trays 130 x 55 x 23mm joined together with a pair of spring
steel strips 10mm wide the distance between the two trays being 215mm. One
tray is drilled to hold three equal cylindrical masses. The other tray acts
as anchorage and can be clamped to the bench horizontally or vertically.

CAPILLARY TUBE APPARATUS 1169

The apparatus comprises a metal frame, the base of which takes the form of a trough 115 x 40 x 10 mm. The upper part of the frame supports six capillary tubes, each of a different bore, their lower ends resting in the bottom trough. BOYLE’S LAW APPARATUS 1180

BOYLE’S LAW APPARATUS (High Precision) 1182
A wide bore glass tube is mounted vertically in front of a scale graduated
0 to 60 cm. Zero corresponds to the inside of the closed (top) end of the
tube. Air is confined in the tube by a coloured oil contained in a metal
pressure chamber which is fitted with a Bourdon-type gauge calibrated 0 to
50 Lbs/In2 & 3.5 Kg/cm2 actual pressure. A valve is fitted to the air
inlet tube from the pump. As the pressure in the oil chamber is increased
oil is its actual (total) pressure are directly indicated. The tube is of
extra strong glass and plastic safety screen is secured and fitted on front.
